Ow-wee Lebanese food! Not too many of them joints around town, I was stoked. We found Café Munir rated pretty high on Yelp and the prices looked reasonable. Plus everyone commented on its charm and unique flavors.
Lebanese cuisine is still new for me so the extensive menu was a bit intimidating. But the nice folks helped us out with the interpretation, offered suggestions and made sure we paced ourselves for a very enjoyable experience. We ordered the hummus, baba ganoush, cauliflower, and the shish (taouk chicken ☺) for the main. The hummus stood out being nice and warm with plenty of flavor layers. I say it’s the best I’ve had around Seattle. The shish is also the shish, nice grilled juicy chicken with a good hit of lemon and tender. Who doesn’t love grilled chicken. There’s plenty to explore at Cafe Munir and it’s welcoming environment to help introduce you to the Lebanese food. I’m a fan!
