Boke Bowl is an interesting and fun place. It’s a good concept to capture the hearts of people in search of that great bowl of ramen. Boke Bowl packs in a nice soup with all the characteristics of Portland’s progressive food scene.
We started with Boke Bowl buns, you know I couldn’t pass up the fried chicken. They were pretty tasty – nice bread, pickled vegetables and flavorful chicken. For the ramens, we ordered the duck confit and the pork belly. I enjoyed the pork belly but the duck confit broth was a little too salty. Boke Bowl is a promising place, nice space and with a little tightening up it can do it.
